Synopsis:

The new Mazzer ZM Specialty Coffee Grinder is the pour over guru's best friend. We test out just how close to zero its retention is, grinding speed and show you the overall look and feel of this landmark new grinder.

The Mazzer ZM Lives Up To The Hype

Brand new to the market, the Mazzer ZM is going with the third wave coffee flow and is here to answer the call of specialty coffee lovers. More cafes are offering pour over coffee as an option along side espresso based drinks and drip (sometimes even replacing drip in some cases). Many establishments even give you little server sets with a tray when you sit in and enjoy your pour over, as a reminder that, this is in fact pour over coffee.

An increase in popularity in pour over means that the lack of high quality, high volume, commercial grinders for non-espresso coffee becomes a bigger issue. Mazzer heard these groans and sighs, and they created something new, from scratch. That something is the Mazzer ZM (I bet you never would have guessed!)

We got a first look at this impressive machine and are pretty blown away. Not only is it powerful, fast, strong and pleasing on the eyes, but its lack of retention makes this machine worth it on that merit alone. To find out just how little the retention is, watch our Mazzer ZM Unboxing Review and to find out more details about this impressive new machine, read our run down of all its features and specs here.
